Definition of a Republic and hence a Republican

Britannica Definition of Republic

It's worth noting that republics can be tyrannies, dictatorships, oligarchies and monarchies. The term democracy and Autocracy (dictatorship) are mutually exclusive. There doesn't exist a democratic autocracy, as a democracy represents the people and their votes. An autocracy assigns a leader under the constitution and has nothing to do with the peoples wishes or voting.
